Upon my return from an errand, I could not help but notice the screams, whoops, yells, thumps, crashes, and maniacal giggling coming from our basement, presumably originating from small Pickwicks of assorted sizes, and possibly a local circus they had invited in for the afternoon. I posed the following question to Fr. Pickwick:
“So, are these all happy sounds? Are they okay?”
Fr. Pickwick, removing his industrial strength headphones: “I think so. If happiness can be measured in decibels, they have been very happy all afternoon.”
He might have said something else, but I couldn’t really hear. There was a little too much happiness in the air.
